In 2007, Trada Foundation started its activities by giving scholarships as a reward to the children of Trada employees (head office, offshore, and outsource employees in non-managerial level) with outstanding performances in school. The company gave the reward by providing study savings in order to support the children's ongoing education process all the way to the higher level. In 2008, Trada Foundation is still maintaining the scholarship program after the first round in 2007 succeeded.

PC Donation

In January 2009, Trada Foundation donated personal computers (PC) to Yayasan Banjar Hitakarma, a social organization accommodating Hindu community in Pondok Gede-Bekasi area since 1983. To give education to the children, especially in spiritual knowledge, is one of this organization's main activities. Therefore, Trada Foundation found it very much delighted to support this educational activity by visiting the place, meeting the people, and giving donation. In this event, Trada Foundation team was represented by Mr. Alit Wiradharma (Trada Foundation Chief), Mr. Gusde Suryadi (Trada Foundation Project Officer), Mrs. Harriny Yulianty (Trada Maritime Corporate Communications Head), Mrs. Sarah Natalia (Trada Maritime Corporate Legal Head), and Mr. Badruzaman (Trada IT Support).

Book Donation

In February 16, 2009, Trada Foundation donated PC and a series of text books for High School Grade 10 to Ar-Rahman High School in Bintaro, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. This school started its class in July 2008 receiving only junior high post-graduated children coming from various backgrounds but had one thing in common: they could not afford school. The founder of this educational institution, H. Rachman Husein, then provided this school without charging any tuition fee to either the children or their parents, and getting the fund to run the school from donors. The class starts in the afternoon because at mornings the children -up until now there are 23 students- have to go to work to earn themselves some money for living. But it is very delighting to know that they still have strong willingness to go to school and gain some knowledge despite of their bitter life out there. In 2009, the school will open more classes and welcome more children who are still craving for education but finding it hard to be afforded. Hopefully our little endowment could provide positive contribution to these children's studying process.
